Importance of Education

Education means the process of training, teaching and learning under any institution. It is a blessing, a blazing star in our dark mental horizon. It is a key which unlocks a new world to the people in ignorance. It is regarded as the acquisition of explicit know and personal development. It can be acquired from particular educational institutions. Since education is one of basic human rights. Hence goes a maxim, ‘No nation in the world can develop and progress itself without education’. It is often compared to light which removes the darkness od ignorance and helps to distinguish between right and wrong. Bangladesh is a thickly populated and poverty-stricken country. For this her major people are illiterate and remain under the dark cover of ignorance out of illiteracy. To lead a life in darkness does not allow people to go ahead.  They are in fact blind though they have two eyes below their forehead. Their two eyes help them to see only concrete materials but not the wisdom and knowledge of intellectuals, best authors. Most of the people can undergo a hard labor, lift the heavy loads, earn their livelihood, eat sleep and gossip but can’t read and write even their names and addresses. They have to depend to on others to have their letters and applications. Uneducated people can’t keep pace with the advance countries. They don’t know the modern advanced technology. They have no sense of right and wrong. They are not aware of responsibilities. Their outlook is very narrow. Illiteracy is a curse because illiteracy is the hindrance to our development program. It is education, which teaches a man to fight against all the problems of life. By receiving true education, we all can build a happy, peaceful and prosperous life.
